User Guide

Welcome to MYTPTD (My Tour Plan & Tour Diary), designed to streamline the process of planning and documenting official tours for educational functionaries like CRPs, BRPs, ECOs, and BIERTs within the Karnataka School Education Department.

This guide will walk you through every feature of the app, from creating your account to managing your monthly tour diaries.

1. Getting Started: Account Creation & First Login

This section covers the one-time process of setting up your MYTPTD account.

1.1. Creating Your Account

  1. Visit the Homepage: Open your web browser and navigate to the official MYTPTD portal.
  2. Initiate Registration: On the login screen, click on the "Create Account" link.
  3. Fill in Your Details: You will be directed to a registration form. Please fill in the following details accurately:
    • Full Name: Your name as per official records.
    • Designation: Select your role from the dropdown list (e.g., CRP, BRP, BEO).
    • Registered Mobile Number: Your 10-digit mobile number.
    • Email Address: Your official or primary email address.
    • District & Block: Select your assigned District and Block.
  4. Submit the Form: Double-check all the information and click the "Submit" button.

1.2. Setting Your Password

  1. Check Your Email: Open your email inbox for a password setup link from MYTPTD with the subject "Set Your MYTPTD Password".
    Note: If you don't see the email in your inbox, please check your Spam or Junk folder.
  2. Click the Generation Link: Click the unique "Generate Password" link in the email.
  3. Create Your Password: Set your password on the secure page. A strong password should be at least 8 characters long and include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
  4. Save Password: Click the "Set Password" or "Submit" button.

1.3. Logging In for the First Time

  1. Return to Login Page: Go back to the MYTPTD login page.
  2. Enter Credentials: Use your registered email/mobile as the User ID and enter the password you created.
  3. Access Account: Click the "Log In" button to access your dashboard.

2. The Dashboard: Your Central Hub

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It gives you a quick overview of your pending tasks.

  • For New Users: If you have just created your account, the dashboard will prominently display a message and a button prompting you to "Create Your First Monthly Tour Plan".
  • For Existing Users: The dashboard will display a list of your "Pending Tours". This list shows the schools or offices you have planned to visit, serving as your daily to-do list.

3. Core Functionality: Planning and Reporting

3.1. Creating Your Monthly Tour Plan

  1. Navigate to Tour Plan: From the main menu or dashboard, click "Tour Plan".
  2. Select Month and Year: Choose the period for which you are creating the plan.
  3. Fill the Plan: For each working day, enter the "School/Office to Visit" and the "Purpose of Visit" (e.g., 'Academic Inspection'). Government holidays and Sundays will be pre-filled and non-editable.
  4. Save Your Plan: Click "Save Plan". You can return to edit this plan until the month begins.
  5. Print Your Plan: After saving, a "Print" button will appear to generate a formatted PDF for official submission or personal records.

3.2. Updating Tour Status & Submitting Your Daily Diary

  1. Access from Dashboard: On your dashboard, locate today's tour in "Pending Tours" and click "Update Status" or "Submit Diary".
  2. Fill the Execution Form:
    • Tour Status: Select "Completed" or "Cancelled".
    • Destination Match: If you visited a different location, enter the "Actual Location Visited" and "Reason for Change".
    • Execution Details (Your Diary Entry): Record your detailed observations, including key findings, discussions, actions taken, and recommendations.
  3. Submitting Multiple Tours: Click the "+ Add Another Tour for this Date" button to create separate diary entries for multiple visits on the same day.
  4. Submit: Click "Submit". The tour will be moved from "Pending Tours" to your "Tour Diary".

4. Managing Your Records

4.1. The Tour Diary Page

The Tour Diary is your digital archive of all submitted tour reports. You can:

  • View a complete history of your past visits, organized by date.
  • Search and filter entries by date range, school name, or status.
  • Make minor corrections to a submitted entry (may be restricted after a certain period).
  • Print a consolidated monthly diary for official submission.

4.2. Managing Your Profile

On the "Profile" page, you can view and edit personal information like your mobile number and email. Core details like your Name, and assigned Block may be non-editable. To change these, you may need to contact your district administrator.


5. Reference Information

5.1. School List

This page provides a comprehensive, searchable list of all schools and educational offices within your designated block, with information like School Name, UDISE code, and location.

5.2. Holiday List

This section displays a list of all government-approved holidays for the current academic calendar, which are automatically marked in your Tour Plan.


6. Troubleshooting & Support

6.1. Forgot Your Password?

  1. On the login page, click the "Forgot Password?" link.
  2. Enter your registered email address and mobile number, then click "Submit".
  3. Check your email inbox for a password reset link and follow the instructions.

6.2. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Q: I did not receive the password generation email after creating my account.
    A: Please wait 5-10 minutes and check your Spam or Junk folder. Also, ensure you entered the correct email address during registration.
  • Q: A school I need to visit is not on the "School List". What should I do?
    A: Please Please click on "Add School" button to add new school/office or use report issue button.
  • Q: Can I create a tour plan for a past month?
    A: Yes, You can create past month tour plans.
  • Q: How do I get further help or report a technical issue?
